Actually, sometimes I wonder why we named ourselves hippos.
I thought we were supposed to be anti-hippos.
But hippos do sound much nicer.
Tuesday was my check-up.
Surprisingly I wasn't nervous, even when the doc says I have to do a blood test.
It didn't hurt as much as I thought, but I suspect the needle was a smaller one compared to those you see at a private clinic.
Still, I think I'm that little bit braver now, haha.
Yesterday was my class visit to the children's home in Ang Mo Kio.
It suddenly struck me that it was once my wish to set up a children's home.
Actually it's not at all nice in a children's home.
The kids fight among themselves and bully each other.
Furthermore some are really RUDE & out of hand.
And it's sad to see how their caretaker handle them.
This auntie went to pull the boy's hair hard & shouted at him when he misbehaved.
*Ouch*
That must be really hurtful, physically and emotionally, considering the fact that they have no parents to care for them.
Actually some of them do have parents, but they come from abusive families.
I think the caretaker got too fed up and didn't know how to control him.
Still, I think it's hard for a home with so many children and limited caretakers to bring up each of them well.
But I got really happy when I taught this little boy maths and he enjoyed himself so he smiled.
CUTE!
There are other little cute kids at the home too.
They're just too adorable!
haha.
OH, I feel that they do not know how to treasure the gifts they received from us because they threw the notebooks which we gave all over the place =/
Anyway, it's all over.
We had as much fun as bad times there.
I'm pretty stressed out now because there's only one week left before sch reopens and I still have a long way to go before I finish revision.
But I'm still so addicted to the TV.
I think it's the best entertainment, to just stay at home and watch tv.
It's one of the few things which could make me really happy.
So.
It's gonna be heavy mugging for the last week.
