The surprise was a success.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIA YAN! <3Today was an unexpectedly fun day as we managed to plan a successful birthday celebration for jiayan (:
She said she wanted accessories for her birthday, so we (chaiyieng, kuanyee and me!) bought 2 necklaces and a bracelet for her and wore it on ourselves.
We had dinner at Ikea where we met her and it was freaking expensive :x
But the spaghetti was cheaper than those at pastamania.
The meatball spaghetti and curry chicken rice was yummy!
We took photos and jiayan was super accomodating, haha.
The birthday cake (chocolate truffle) was nice too!
I like the chocolate cream, haha :D
Then she went to the toilet and we planned how to present her the gift.
me: Hey, don't you think there's something missing?
jiayan: What? There's already the cake and me!
me: Something else other than you and the cake. We can always do without the cake.
jiayan: Money? (-.-)
me: What do you buy with the money?
jiayan: Presents? (^_^)
Then I asked chaiyieng to take out the gift and pretended we left it at bugis while shopping.
chaiyieng: It's ok. Kuanyee, let jiayan have your necklace.
Haha, jiayan really thought the necklace belonged to kuanyee and she refused to let kuanyee remove the necklace when kuanyee was struggling to remove the necklace which became entangled with her hair.
Kuanyee was laughing at the same time and I think the both of them were being silly.
Obviously kuanyee so needed help with the necklace, but jiayan just keep saying no and had no intention to help poor kuanyee.
I was laughing myself crazy at the two of them.
Finally we told jiayan the truth and kuanyee managed to remove the necklace on her own.
It was funny to see jiayan's surprised expression to know that the accessories on ourselves were actually hers.
We had a second helping of the cake and left Ikea as they were already closing, but we took more pictures at the bus stop before we left on the shuttle bus.
Everyone was happy today, even though it was a small and simple celebration with only the four of us.
But we managed to crack jokes in between our conversations like the way we always do in school.
They've always been funny people and I enjoy being with them and having them around (:
Though it wasn't the usual gang as some of us were not present, I'll still remember the days we all had together in school.
It's been more than a month since we last met and it was definitely a memorable day.
Hopefully I'll get to meet the others too, before the release of A level results in February.
